Back to (web) life

I have finally settled somewhere and (fingers crossed) after Wednesday I'll have a good home internet connection. I'm now based in Manchester, where I am studying full-time on an MA Educational Technology and TESOL course. I arrived last week and have met the tutors and the other course members who are from various countries around the world and everything is new and exciting at the moment. I am currently thinking about which course units I should choose - everything looks so interesting! I also have a lot of reading to do and I need to get my head around the university blackboard system, which is complex but looks incredibly helpful if we can figure out how to use it well. Hopefully, this course will be as good as it looks on paper, I'll be capable of organising myself properly and that I'll get some inspiration to write some decent blog posts.

I've spent so much of this summer working or moving around (I did fortunately get a short break!) as well as being without an internet connection that I have felt very disconnected from all things internet. I noticed the other day that there's a new ELT discussion group on twitter, hopefully once my home web connection is set up I'll have some time to join in.

Right, well that's a sort of brief interim blog post to get this thing going again!
